As we approach the end of the first quarter of the year, the TBIPAC has had a very busy and successful year so far. Our office has had the pleasure of meeting with both our State and Federal legislatures across the country to ensure that the voices of our tribal citizens are heard. While meeting with our legislatures, we have been heavily involved in fighting and ensuring that our tribe will be leaders in Indian Country in today's political and economic climate.
Our federal leadership, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Shumer (D-NY), Senator Ben Jujan (D-NM), and Senator Martin Heinrich (D-NM), gave our tribe positive reinforcement in suggestions in how our tribe can thrive in multiple federal opportunities to ensure our success through various programs that would benefit our members across the country.
On the state level, our office has met Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser as well as State Representatives Bill Wheat, C. Travis Johnson, Wayne McMahen, & Buddy Mincey Jr. to speak on potential economic opportunities that could help our tribe in a vast majority of ways.
Our office takes pride in always striving to ensure that our tribe and its membership will always be on the forefront of opportunities that will ensure our successes for years to come.
As we close our quarter, the TBIPAC is gearing up for our Spring BBQ competition fundraiser. If anyone would like to come participate by either buying a delicious plate lunch or becoming a judge for the competition, just let us know. Our doors are always open.
Thank you everyone and have a blessed day.
